THE RAINY DAY BOX

From the wonderfull book "The Daily Charm" from Sarah Ban Breathnach, I have taken the idea of the "Rainy day closet" and I have tranformed it to the "Rainy day box" for kids.

The Rainy day box consist in decorating a paper box, filling it with different material in order to be able to make various activities with your kids while it is raining outside. You have to hide to box in your closet so that is something your kids do not see every day. The exit of the box depends on being hiden, so the kids totally forget about it and everytime you take it out it's is a new surprise. For that reason you have to keep on changing the material of the box, moreover when it rains all the time.

¿What kind of items can you put in the box?

-a recepy (cookies, muffins, cake, apple pie, etc...)

-the raincoat and the wellington boots to go outside and play under the rain

-a notebook with a color pen box
-a nice book with drawings

-a puzzle

-puppets

-a cd with different songs

-an strange object to made up a story

-a secret diary to write on what you do on "rainy days"
